THREE WISE COOKS LAUNCH ‘TEMPTATIONS’, PURVEYOR OF FINE NIBBLES TO SOUTHERN AFRICA’S LUXURY HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY

South Africa, Stellenbosch, Tuesday, 13 September 2022; CAPE based chefs and restaurateur trio Liam Tomlin, Ivor Jones and David Schneider have launched ‘Temptations’, a range of craft butler bar snacks ideal for luxury guesthouses, boutique hotels and exclusive safari camps.

Liam, Ivor and David who are well known in the fine dining-out community for their Chefs Warehouse restaurants in Cape Town and the Cape Winelands, created the Chefs Warehouse Essentials range, a brand that was borne out of a need to financially survive during the 2020 / 2021 COVID-19 pandemic. With South Africa’s restaurant industry in tatters. the three chef patrons were determined to keep their restaurant teams employed during those extremely challenging times. And so CW Essentials, a product range of take-home spices and condiments that are the essence of flavours found in their restaurants today was launched. CW Essentials proved to be a great success thanks to the many loyal patrons of the Chefs Warehouse restaurants and hence, ‘Temptations’ by Chefs Warehouse presented itself as the next logical progression.

The hotel mini bar is very much back post the global pandemic and high-heeled travellers are expecting luxury hospitality properties to tempt them with indulgent snack stash edibles.

There are currently eight handcrafted cheeky snacks within the ‘Temptations’ launch menu and only the finest local ingredients have been sourced to create these naughty but nice delights:

  • Biltong Snapsticks – 70g (R70)
  • Cranberry and Almond Nougat – 45g (R40)
  • Sunflower Seed Shortbread – 80g (R45)
  • Mixed Spiced Nuts – 80g (R45)
  • Chocolate Coated Almonds – 90g (R50)
  • Rooibos Fudge 80g – R50
  • Trail Mix – 100g (R30)
  • Sweet Potato Crisps – 40g (R20)

The menu will change on occasion so as to ensure return guests remain tempted to dive in.

CW ‘Temptations’ is committed to a greener and more sustainable planet. Over 90% of the Temptations packaging is biodegradable and recyclable. Printed material is also kept to a bare minimum. The Chefs Warehouse in-house design team can personalise the packaging to suit personalised brand bible guidelines.
