VIBRANT MYSTIK LIFESTYLE BOUTIQUE HOTEL ON THE ISLAND OF MAURITIUS JOINS THE NEWMARK HOTELS & RESERVES PORTFOLIO

South Africa, Cape Town, 28 September 2022; NEWMARK Hotels & Reserves has been appointed to represent and manage the popular independently-owned Mauritian beach hotel Mystik Lifestyle. The trendy boutique  hotel is in the north of the island and set on the picture postcard Mont Choisy beach.

Mystik Lifestyle features a bistro-style restaurant, day lounge, a four-sided infinity pool, as well as the hotel’s Sky Bar – well-known amongst holiday makers and locals alike for its treetop setting and island-style ambience.

Accommodation at Mystik is presented in 35 well-appointed single or double occupancy rooms, which are categorised as either Standard, Standard with sea views, or Deluxe with sea views – all with air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms, king or twin-size beds, and a bar fridge.

The 70-seater Beach Resto #36 restaurant and bar boasts a prime location – with tables on the deck alongside the infinity pool and stunning uninterrupted views over the ocean. Upstairs on the second floor is the Sky Bar, which will re-open this summer. The bar and cocktail lounge serves as an idyllic setting to enjoy the island vibe and witness picture perfect sunsets. Mystik’s infinity pool is undoubtedly a hub at the beach hotel – enjoying elevated views over the beach from the deck and pool loungers.

“My team and I are very excited that Mystik Lifestyle has joined our Indian Ocean Island portfolio,” says Neil Markovitz, CEO of NEWMARK Hotels & Reserves, who explains that the company also includes the boutique hotels of La Maison D’Été situated at Poste Lafayette in Mauritius as well as Chuini Beach Lodge in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

“We plan to give Mystik a refresh in time for this year’s summer holiday season through a soft renovation that will elevate and invigorate the overall ambience of the accommodation as well as the public spaces. Most excitingly, we will be renovating and relaunching the hotel’s much-enjoyed Sky Bar, which closed during the global pandemic’s lock down and has not yet resumed operations.”

According to Markovitz, NEWMARK intends to return this much-loved rooftop venue to its former glory as one of the hottest spots on the island for international visitors and locals alike to enjoy a beach holiday vibe amidst stunning tropical island scenery. “We anticipate the reopening of the Sky Bar to take place in time for the holiday season, amidst a fair amount of fanfare from the Mauritians who have been calling for its reopening for some time now. We are very pleased to oblige!”

“This is an exciting and dynamic time in the tourism industry as the world rediscovers its passion for travel. East and Southern Africa in particular, are experiencing booming demand within the global tourism sector and NEWMARK is fortunately well positioned within these regions to host travellers at our independently owned properties – and to growing our representation within this region overall,” concludes Markovitz. “This is an ideal time to welcome  Mystik Lifestyle to our fold and to speedily prepare it for the 2022 / 2023 southern hemisphere summer season.”

Mystik Lifestyle is only a few minutes away from the top-class 18-hole golf course, Mont Choisy Le Golf.   The popular seaside town of Grand Baie is only 5km away and offers  eclectic shops, markets and a festive night life. A plethora of water sports for learners and the experienced are on the doorstep, thanks to the hotel’s prime position on Mont Choisy beach.

Mystik Lifestyle accepts children from the age of sixteen.
